The VUIOTA
group is a small group of Amateur Radio enthusiasts of Manipal and Mangalore
in south coastal Karnataka, in south west India. Among other activities,
the VUIOTA group has a new found love in organising IOTA events in and
around our area. The first IOTA organised by VUIOTA was the AS096 (in St.
Mary's Isles, India) which was very successful with over 3,500 QSOs in
less than 2 days of operation.
The second
was the Sacrifice Rock IOTA Operation (AS-161) on the 26th and 27th January,
2002, which was equally successful with over 3,800 QSOs.
