News and Transfer Gossip BLAKE CONFIRMS HYTHE N DIBDEN CONTACT Star centre-back Matt Blake has shocked both players and fans after admitting he could be playing for Fawley's bitter rivals Hythe n Dibden. This move would be the worse than when Sol Campbell went to Spurs and could break the hearts of hundreds of Fawley fans. If he were to move their is a stong chance he will be brutally beaten by a angry mob of Fawley fans, and then dumped in a ditch where he will be left to rot. Any move to Jones lane could see other players moving the opposite way. Simon 'old man' Bird has been strongly tipped in the media to make the move to Esso, aswell as striker Mike May. There is a strong odds that all 3 players will be playing in the same shirts next season, but which one is not yet decided. Elsewhere, Steve Pester has issued a 'play me or im outta here' warning to Martin. He could be going to Blackfield n Langley, but a regular run in the team is likely to see him stay. A departure that is for sure is Matt Irwin. Norweigen side Rosenborg have put in a £500 bid for him, to which Fawley have accepted. The money is likely to be spent on booze or strippers, either is good. MACCA - 'I GOT IN WITH LUCY RAVIZZA' Fawleys 2nd best stud has made a fool of himself after claiming he got in with Hardley school's fit bird Lucy Ravizza. After impressing many people at Noadswood with this, he will now find out he actually snogged Lucy Thomas, who is also quite fit, but not as famous as the other Lucy. However there are still rumours that the cheeky scouser is interested in giving Lucy Thomas a shag. FAWLEY READY TO PARTY Fawley AFC are planning to celebrate the Division 3 title with a big piss up on Saturday night, the night of the teams presentation evening. Wins against CFT and Botley in midweek would see Fawley bring the trophy back to the legendary Waterside Club Stadium, and Fawley will celebrate this with plenty of booze. Throughout the season, booze has acted as an incentive to Fawley players, as each player who scores a header immediately gains 2 free pints, courtesy of the gaffer. Talismanic striker Adam Elliott currently has 5 pints in the bag, after winning a fitness competition, followed by Catman, on 4 pints after his headed goals v Riverside. Even Mike 'goal machine' Bromley is due 2 pints. This booze-fest comes the night before Fawleys final match with Pirelli Pirates. Of course, if by some obscure reason we havnt won the league by Thurs night, the booze will be saved till the end of season tour, as the match against Pirelli will then have the title at steak. When asked if they thought there was a booze culture at the club, Adam Elliott and Matt Wood replied: 'Yes' ................................................................................ WEBSITE UP AND RUNNING AGAIN The Fawley AFC is back again after suffering technical problems over the last few weeks. The news comes just in time for Fawleys championship run in, including two big games against CFT ................................................................................. CFT GAME PUT BACK AGAIN Fawleys clash with Chandlers Ford town has once again been put back by their manager, this time because of missing players. This comes after weeks of mind games between the two coaches. The game was originally wanted to be put back by Fawley boss Martin Hall, after the news that star keeper Danny Parker would be unavailable. However, this request was not granted by the CFT manager, despite the fact Fawley had earlier in the season let CFT re arrange the clash. He also said ther was no possibility that the game could be re arranged. Fawley then prepared a new keeper in the shape of Matt Wood, until Mr Turpitt decided that the game could be re arranged, which coincidentaly was after the news two of his players would be injured for the clash. How 'convenient' for CFT. However, wiley Martin Hall smelt a rat, and was straight on the phone to the Hampshire Fa chief, who informed him that no teams are allowed to cancell a game because of injury to a few a players. There would have to be a valid reason which affected alot of teams, for example, an FA cup semi final involving Saints. And it just so happened that there was one on the day of the clash! And even more convenient, the injured CFT players were now not injured, but going to this Saints game! Therefore Turpitt had a valid reason to postpone the game. One fawley player said: 'They can postpone the game as much as they want, anytime, anyplace and well be up for it. Well play em with fuckin 7 men if we have to because we know we're the better team, and we cant wait to proove it' This tremendous spirit is the kind that has seen Fawley rise to the summit, and also been the catalyst for a 6 month winning run in the league. .................................................................................. FAWLEY+MICHELMERSH+COWES CLOSE GAP ON LEADERS Fawley appear to have ended Hambles chances of winning the league, whilst Michelmersh seem to have taken their place in the race for the titlle. Fawley handed out a 4-1 drubbing to Hamble, whilst Chandlers Ford lost to M+T. Elsewhere, pirellis season is getting better and better, crashing to another defeat at the hands of East Cowes, who keep 2nd place. Solent managed to score 3, but lose again, whilst Albion won. Some team called Botley pulled off a shock result against Highwood, 7-0 final score. The title now seems to be a 4 horse race between CF, Fawley, East Cowes and M+T. ................................................................................. BUBBA JOINS UP WITH FAWLEY TEAM There was a new face at the Fawley training ground yesterday, and it wasnt very nice. Cornelius Bubblington, aka Bubba, aka The Bubsta, was at training to try and shake off his 'im crap at football image'. Unfortunatley it didnt work too well. He displayed no knowledge of the offside rule, and even managed to spit on Blakeys back. This terrible accuracy at spittin reflected his shooting. But maybe he can be the water boy. ................................................................................ FAWLEY CONDEMN ALBION TO SECOND DEFEAT Division three took another turn in the race for the title after Fawley AFC defeated 'the tipsters' favourites for the title, Albion, 4-3. The win means Fawley go above Albion in the league, who have lost two weeks in a row to their closest rivals. However, our star centre-back Matt Blake had to go off at half-time because of a groin injury, which is a concern. ................................................................................. FAWLEY GO EASY ON HIGHWOOD BUT MOVE UP Ben McMonagle and Matt Wood scored the goals in a Fawley comeback. However, the best is set to come against Albion, who are still reeling from their 4-1 defeat at the hands of Chandlers Ford. Elswhere, Hamble lost, which means we move above them and Pirelli narrowly beat the mighty Solent Stars 10-1. ................................................................................. RUGGER MAN TRIES TO STOP FAWLEY PLAYING A man connected with the rugby team which ground 'share' with Fawley AFC has moaned at the under 16s football team for training on their pitch. The rugby team currently have 2 pitches, and they are equally crap on both. As the under 16s football team only have one pitch which is unlikely to last a match, let alone training aswell, we played on the rugby pitch instead. The grotesque rugger bloke claimed we would mess up the surface. However, he does not realise that rugby is a crap sport, for people with no skill, just weight. Perhaps he should try playing with a proper shaped ball, and stop moaning about his little pitch getting muddy. .................................................................................. ELLIOTT DENIES EXIT RUMOURS Adam Elliott has angrily dismissed media reports that he's finding life with Fawley 'unbearable'. The mercurial wing back has responded to a story, issued by a news agency, that claims he is disillusioned at Fawley and has been frozen out of the first team. "Stories like this upset me because I haven't spoken to anyone - it's not my style to talk to the press in that way. I just get on with my job." The 16-year-old has started just one of Fawley'' first team games this season but has won the praise of his fellow players and manager Martin Hall for his hard work and attitude on the training pitch. "If I ever had a problem I would knock on the manager's door, not speak to a journalist. "I'm happy being a Fawley player - if I play that's good, if not I have to accept it and try my best to prove I'm worth a place in the starting line-up." .................................................................................. CHANDLERS FORD PLAYERS FLEE TO GERMANY Fawley AFC'S new found rivals Chandlers Ford town have postponed the clash with Fawley, after admitting the majority of their players are too scared to play us. Sean Hillcoat in particular has had a nervous breakdown at the thought of coming up against a full strength Fawley team. The wimpyest players went to Germany in order to avoid this major clash. Luckily for them, we have a heart and agreed to postpone the match so that their players can recover and try to get focused. Instead, Fawley will now play the cup match against Weston which was called off last week. ................................................................................... UNDER 16's ANGERED AS 1st/2nd TEAM MESS UP PITCH Esso's 1st and 2nd team wer found playing on the only pitch at Fawleys ground, which is recovering from bad weather. The pitch is prone to flooding, and has bad drainage. The under 16's, Esso's best team, have been moaned at many a time by groundsmen, after standing on the pitch. But last night at training, the other teams were found playing on this pitch, much to the disgust of all our players. The pitch was recently forked, and it was thought that our team might actually be able to play a game at home. But due to the jealousy of the senior teams ( straggling at the bottom of their leagues) thought they had the right to use it. Apparently they were 'testing' the surface. There has been many feuds between the management at esso club and the under 16's, over funding and the state of our pitch. The second team in particular are not actually good enough to clean our boots, as they are without a win this season, and in a preseason friendly, we beat them with ease. ................................................................................... FAWLEY U16S UNHAPPY AT STATE OF PITCH ESSO'S most successful football team, the under 16's are becoming increasingly annoyed by the state of their pitch, and are not happy with the senior management at the club, who dont seem to care about the team anymore. The last 2 games have been called off, the first because Esso (the sports club where Fawley play) 'didnt want the pitch to get messed up'. Tossers, it's a football pitch for christs sake! Manager Martin Hall said 'A bloody duck ponds got better drainage than that pitch' This is no understatement, it really is a crap. But a lack of funds at the club have prevented Fawley moving to a new stadium. Fawley will have to hope that weather improves, so that they can carry on playing home games. ................................................................................... FAWLEY SIGN ROGER Fawley have signed a unknown gem called Roger until the end of the season - but they stress it does not mean Ryan Deluchi is set to be sold. Manager Martin Hall has snapped up the unknown rookie as cover for Deluchi rather than to replace him. Fawley have had no offers for Deluchi who will not be on his way out before the transfer window closes - unless there is a dramatic and unexpected turn of events. His name sounds like he's Brazilian, but his skills in no way reflect this. His strengths are, errrm, well, ummmm. Anyway, many fans and indeed players are questioning the signing, but he has undisputed potential. Hall knows him well and sees him as a useful and inexpensive addition to bolster the squad. Roger will provide options and cover down the left as he can also play left midfield and even a left-sided centre-back. Martin said: "It does not mean we are about to sell Ryan Deluchi but we have been a bit short of cover down that flank so this is a good deal for us. I know him well and he will be a useful addition for us." Roger himself said "I'm a good defender". To listen to this controversial quote, Click Here. The deal was tied up this morning after talks and a medical yesterday afternoon. He has impressed in training this week and last after initally coming here to get fit. Now he is set to stay until the end of the campaign - or possibly longer if he makes an impact. ................................................................................... TOP FLIGHT BIG GUNS IN FOR DEL BOY It has emerged in the last week that Division 1 side Fleetlands are interested in signing Fawley starlet Ryan Deluchi, after an unknown source promoted Deluchi's talent on the CSYFL website. However, it is thought that Fleetlands may be out of luck, after Deluchi was quoted saying 'I love this club, and everything about it. I want to stay here all my life' It is thought Fleetlands may send scouts to watch him play in the next few weeks ................................................................................... SCOUTS SCOUT DELUCHI The following article was sent to The Southern Daily Echo by an anonymous 'spectator' - or should that read 'Terry'. Anyways, read it and see what you think! Ryan Deluchi, who plays left back for Fawley under 16s, has had a magnificant start to the season. Since moving from left midfield to fullback, he has been by far the most consistant player I have seen at this level throughout my 16 year interest in the Southampton Youth Leagues. No, I know what you are thinking, but I am not his dad, and I honestly believe that this boy can make it to the top. Every time I have seen him play, his touch has been superb, passing exceptional and his reading of the game and workrate are second to none. He reminds me a lot of Wayne Bridge, he is not afraid to get stuck in and he has a very powerful shot. If you are looking to do an article about outstanding local talent - this boy wonder is setting his league alight. I thoroughly recommend that you go and have a look at this lad, his team play on Sundays at Esso Club, Long Lane, Holbury, and also train at the same location on Wednesday nights (6.00pm) and Satrday mornings (10.00am). He has become something of a local hero and our attendances are up to about 150 people now, more than we have ever had before. We even get a generous amount of people coming to watch training sessions, around 20 people, weather permitting! Kind regards, Terry Make of that what you will. ................................................................................... WAHOO! OUR LEAGUE IS SHITE! We've beeen drawn against such teams as Hiltingbury, Pirelli Pirates and Hamble! This season we have a real chance of winning a few matches! And also, weve equaled our longest cup run for a couple of years, because we got a bye in the first round. ................................................................................... |
