For a list of Fresh Foods you can feed your Qp go here Your Quaker will need a good variety of food every day, along with clean fresh water and of course a treat every once in awhile. Your Quaker relies on you, you are responsible for him/her and feeding them is one of those responsibilities. If you can't handle that then I suggests you shouldn't own a Quaker or any animal for that matter. Many people say that a pellet diet is a lot better and healther than a all seed diet and I agree, but it doesn't mean that your Quaker can NEVER have seeds. I feed Winston Zupreem Fruit blend for Cockatiels along with one scoop of seeds, some veggies, and some fruit everyday. But everyone has a different idea of a proper diet and I'm definately not an Avain Vet, but I do love Quakers and being responsible for them is part of that love. I think that a variety is very important for a Quaker. Quakers are prone to Fatty Liver Disease or FLD, so if they eat fatty foods or foods with high sodium a lot through out their lives they could get Fatty Liver Disease. Remember a healthy Quaker is a happy Quaker! Here are a few good bird food brands I know of: Click here for a list of ok fruits and veggies
