Electric Behaviour 2001 The 'N Sync 'Ntellectual littlewillow's Fanfic Page The Only Gift Club The "G" List |
Welcome to the Fields of Eden, littlewillow's little place on the web
where I do my Duran Duran related writings. Here you will find essays about Duran Duran's music,
fanfic and short stories about the band, and other things filed under Duran Duran. My fave members of Duran Duran
are John (past) and Nick (present) so chances are the fanfics are going to be about John or Nick.
Please understand that my stories are pure fiction, and the essays are my personal opinion. Also, it should go without saying that everything here has been written with nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for Duran Duran. With that said, thank you for visiting
the Fields of Eden.
Like it? Let me know by e-mailing me!
Keep on rockin',
P.S. I just got back from a trip to Japan, where I finally got to see Duran Duran in concert for the first time. I am currently working on a webpage which will provide an online diary of my entire trip. As a result, all fanfic efforts have been temporarily put on hold to finish the Japan page - but if you're really dying about something on here, write me and I'll see what I can do about it.
These fields are still in need of tilling and tender loving care - but I'll try to
sow the seeds of this new site as often as I can. If you like what you're reading, please e-mail me at fabfan97@hotmail.com,
or sign my guestbook - I really appreciate feedback!

felt like updating you guys on how my year
2001 has been going. the Cliffs Notes version, anyway.
you'll laugh. you'll cry. you'll hurl. you'll wish you'd been there. episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 5b now available.
an attempt by me to catalogue the goings-on of my trip to Japan, June 2001.
yes indeed, June 8th is the birthday of Nick Rhodes!
here's my mini tribute to one classy Duran.
June 20th is John Taylor's birthday - thought I best
post now since I'll be in Japan on the day.
wow, June is one heck of a month!
this is a humble submission for the "See Me, Repeat Me" DD fan tribute project (???)
go here to learn more.
an introspective piece on what it's like to be a Generation Y-er who likes Duran Duran.
a possible submission for "SMRM" - maybe. tell me what you think.
I wrote this little piece on how I stumbled into Duran Duran fandom - and now you can read it.
as co-princess/co-founder of Starting to Remember (STR),
a Yahoo! club for second-generation
Duranies,
here's a little biographical blurb about myself that I wrote for my fellow members.
pretty self-explanatory. my picks of amongst the songs from the soundtrack
of my life (outside of DD and JT solo), presented as individual works of art.
again, self-explanatory. see above. the words that bring
Nick Rhodes into my mind.
lately that hasn't been too difficult.
an explanation about the Taylorwailers phenomenon that initially came out of
the never-ending Nigellator cause at STR. once a Taylorwailer, always a Taylorwailer...!
not really an essay but just a rant (and some nice graphics too!) about the futility
of the U.S. election system, and how nice it would be to have Duran Duran as leaders.
I have met some famous people in my life. more recently
I actually SPOKE with Nick and Simon!
here I chronicle the famous people I have encountered,
and what I've learned about meeting celebrities. COMING SOON.
want to Duranify your workstation? I made some wallpapers and YM themes I think you might enjoy.
a multi-chapter work of fanfic. right now I'm thinking it'll focus on John and Nick.
as of 03/30/01, chapter 1 to the end of this story has been posted. feedback is much appreciated!
a multi-chapter work of fanfic that is to be the sequel to "Looking for Planet Earth."
as of 07/24/01, chapters 1 to the end are posted. please send me or post me some feedback!
a John short story inspired by a dream I had a while ago. now available.
a mostly Nick (but some John) short story. ever wonder what Nick's first girlfriend was like?
Do not copy or reproduce
these works in any form. Enjoy but do not plagiarize. Thank you.
visitors to the Fields of Eden. (actually more but Geocities messed something up...)
A couple of quick facts about me - I'm a 21-year old graduate of the University of Maryland student, having graduated in May 2001 with a bachelor's in cell, molecular biology, and genetics (CMBG). I will be beginning a doctorate program within the Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics at Maryland in fall 2001.
My first love when I was much younger was writing, because I realized I didn't have any other creative talents - believe me, I cannot draw or paint. My current aspirations are to be a university professor (after I get my PhD - I know, lofty goals!) and help fight and cure genetic diseases (in particular, autoimmune disease). I would love to teach young minds of the exciting and brave new field of biology and all its possible applications - it seems like everyone in this major wants to be a doctor because that's where they think the money and accolades are. But instead of using the old-fashioned, time-honored modes of treatment for patients, researchers experiment and try to find the real biology of diseases and biological processes, so better methods of treatment can be developed. And really dedicated researchers are too few and far between.
As for Duran Duran, my favorite album is the self-titled "Wedding Album" (1993), my favorite song is "Come Undone", my favorite video is "A View to a Kill", and my favorite members of Duran Duran have been John Taylor and Nick Rhodes. The name of this site, in fact, was taken from a very lovely song about the splendor of England, by John Taylor (solo).
You will not find exhaustive biography, lyrics, photos, or videos on this site. Check out my links page or check Yahoo! The point of this page is creativity allowed to run rampant. Sadly, too many Duran Duran sites are a hodgepodge of history, pictures, and not much else. I hope you have found this site entertaining, enjoyable, and unique. It's a labour of love for a band that brought color to my life when there was none.
