A document recorded by Capt. P. A. Filbert showing the strength of his Co. B on September 2, 1862.

This is some sort of patriotic stationary cover that reads "Col. H. L. Cake's 96th Penna. Regiment." It is printed in blue ink and has the Pennsylvania state arms in the upper left corner.

The surgeon's kit of Assitant Surgeon Washington G. Nugent, who enlisted with the 96th Pa. on Oct. 12, 1861. On Sept. 12, 1862 he was promoted to Surgeon and transferred to the 126th Pa. - just two days before the 96th's tragic battle of Crampton's Gap. On June 17, 1863 he was transferred to the 20th Pa., and mustered out of service in Harrisburg on Aug. 10, 1863.

The bugler on top of the Soldiers and Sailors monument in Easton, Pa. was sculpted after Drummer Francis Reed of Co. H, 96th Pa.
