Hi, On the following pages you'll find pictures of our pond, some of our fish, our Japanese influenced garden and some information on keeping ponds for koi. There are also some pictures of various shows and some great friends that we have met through this crazy koi hobby.

We built our home 21 years ago and at that time there was nothing here but dense woods and scrub spruce trees. The following spring, after we got settled in, we started the landscaping, since we didn't know a pansy from a daisy, we hired a landscape architect,  to give us some ideas where to start. Over the next three years we installed all the elements of the design, learning as we went.  Although the pond was never designed into the landscape plan, it was a natural extension of my hobby.....tropical fish, both fresh and marine.

Over the years, as our knowledge of plants increased and we developed a real love for rhododendrons and hostas, we've gone away from the original plan somewhat, but if I do say so myself, it doesn't look too bad.
I've tried to put together, some good basic information on keeping koi and will add more as time goes on.

Please enjoy the info and the pictures and if you have any questions please,
email

Enjoy, Graham Hawkins
