        You’re probably looking at the reference above and saying "John 3:16, you have got to be kidding!". But, I’m not. This verse is most likely the most popular verse ever. Most of the time you just rattle it off your tongue, and think nothing of it. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life". Pretty common, huh?

But do we ever think about what it means? Believe me, when you really think about it, it is pretty dramatic. He sacrificed his only son. His only son! How would you feel if that happened to you? And you had to do it just so a lot of spoiled, bratty (yep, that's us!) sinners could go to heaven! Wow! What love and compassion!. I don’t know about you, but everlasting life sounds pretty good to me! Those streets of gold and the fruit trees! Wow! I can't wait to get there and thank my Jesus for His sacrifice!
