Heaven

        So many people ask many questions about heaven. Like, is it real? What's it like? Who will be there? Can I go?, etc. and all of these questions are great questions and we're here to help answer them!

Is it real?

Is it real?

        Yes. Heaven is very real. It's a place for all people who want to go! The Bible is filled with proof of heaven! Read all about it! Mark 16:19 tells us that Jesus went up to it! In Matthew 25:31-40, we read about Jesus in heaven judging the people who never knew Him. Revelation is all about the vision that John had in which he saw some of Heaven! You know it must be wonderful cause He had a hard time desribing it.

Do I care?

        Maybe you think that you dont even believe in heaven. Or maybe that you have no longing to go there. Have you ever wanted a place where it would be totally peaceful and perfect and no problems? Then you've been longing for heaven! Ephesians 3:11 says that God has "set eternity in the hearts of men." That longing for a perfect place is the longing you have for heaven and everyone longs for it!

What's it like?

        Many people have asked this very question. Maybe it's just like sitting on clouds playing harps all day... Well, we read in the Bible that it's more beautiful than anything ever seen. John had such a hard time desribing it's beauty in Revelation - it's too good for words! We know that the streets are paved with God and there will be mansions and lots of worshipping God. We will forever be in His presence there. There will be no pain or suffering, no heartbreaks or disapointments, total peace and relaxation and all our deepest longings will be fulfilled there! Sounds wonderful, huh?

Who will be there?

        Well, of course Jesus will be there and God's glory will surround us always. Also, anyone on earth can go if they like! You probably know people who were Christians and died and at their funeral the pastor said "They are in a better place now" - how true that is! And how sad also when an atheist or anyone not a Christian dies because we all know where they went and it's even worse than here.

Can I go?

        Yes! Yes! and yes! you CAN go and God wants you to go! He wants everyone to go because He loves us so much. The only thing we have to do is believe that God sent His only Son, Jesus, to live on this earth and die for us and that He came back to life 3 days later! See, we deserve to go to Hell, but God wants us in Heaven so bad that He sent Jesus to die for us so that if we just believe it, we will be with Him in Heaven when we die! Wonderful gift, huh? So, do you believe? Do you want to go? If so, then tell God so! Just pray something like this:

        Dear God, I know that I deserve to die and go to hell but I believe that Your Son, Jesus, died for me so that I could be with You someday. Please give me assurance that I will go to Heaven when I die. Thank you for this free gift. Amen.
