Obedience                                                              Read Act 5:32

        why should we obey God?

Odedience isn't a duty it is something we do because we love God.

God is not waiting for us to turn to Him so He can make us do things we don't want to do. He loves us and wants the best for us. That is why He gives us rules to follow.

"For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD, "PLans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future, Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NIV)

We are given a choice and we can choose not to listen to God but He has great plans for us and those plans cannot be carried out if we choose to ignore God and go our own way.

How do we know what God wants us to do?

Pray. Ask for God's help and guidance in that particular situation. God wants to help us but we have to let Him help us.

if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will recieve anything from the LORD. James 1:5-7 (NIV) Read the Bible. All the answers are there. The Bible is Gods letter to us telling us exactly what to do.

All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)

"Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will be faithful to perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."
