Sun: The Sol and Luna Chronicles
The
Legendary Weapons: The Sol and Luna Chronicles Summary Robert,
a young Jupiter Adept is unaware of the danger he faces. In
these troubled times, the danger of the lighthouses being lit,
another problem rises. Four ancient weapons were secured by
the four elemental knights ages ago. They were locked at the
four most north, south, east, and west points of the world.
Four magical statues now guard them; each with the spirit of
it’s securer within. If these statues are unlocked with a
magical item called the Quadkey, the weapons would be
unleashed, and grant the one who unleashed it that power, or
it would make that person with unlimited psyenergy of the
corresponding element. If all four were unlocked with the
QuadKey, the user would be granted godlike powers. A
mysterious and familiar face to Robert is now trying to unlock
this power, and Robert must collect allies and defeat this
figure if this situation is to be averted… Chapter 1
Oliver’s departure Julia: Rob, wake up… come on Robert!
Robert: What? Mom? Julia: Rob, Oliver will leave soon. Get up
so you can say goodbye! Robert: Okay… Robert, a young 18
year old was a member of the Jupiter clan. He had short brown
hair in the back, and longer bangs hanging to the side of his
face. He had just woken up, so it was sticking up on the left
side. His mom left the room, and then he matted his hair down,
and then put on his long, dark blue, thick pants over his
legs. Robert already had a brown, long sleeve shirt on, and
then he proceeded to his closet, and got out an army green,
short sleeve jacket with metal rings on the ends of the
sleeves. He took out his long, brown travel boots, and stuck
them on his socked feet. After he was all done dressing, he
went down the wooden steps that made his family’s cottage
two floors tall. Robert: Hello Oliver. Are you exited to go?
Oliver was Robert’s twin, 14 minutes older than he. That
day, he was going to Angara by boat, to train under a teacher
named Kraden. Robert didn’t admit it, but he was a little
jealous, because his brother got to sail a ship, go to from
Hesperia to Angara, and train with the one of the greatest
Alchemy teachers known! At least his parents, Julia and Leo,
forced Robert to help Oliver to the ship. Robert: Hello
Oliver. Are you excited to go? Oliver: Yeah, very… Oliver
had no hair at all, he cut it all off so that it couldn’t be
yanked in case he was ever in combat. His head was all the
same shade of tan, as he had been bald for 6 years. He wore a
yellow jacket with bronze and gold armor chest plate. He had
brown pants, and thick black boots. They were eating oatmeal
and porridge, a regular breakfast, as it was cheap, and
healthy. After an hour or so of talking at the breakfast
table, Oliver announced it was time for his departure. Julia:
Goodbye sweetie. *Sniff* I’ll see you soon. Leo: Goodbye
son. Make me proud, and write letters too! At that moment,
Robert came out, after putting on his silver armor, army green
cape, and getting his light sword. He also grabbed his brown
gloves to put on, and Oliver’s battle-axe. Robert: Here…
Oliver: Thanks, brother. Robert, being a Jupiter Adept could
read minds, and sense emotions. He could tell his brother was
filled with anticipation, and a little bit of mischief.
Robert: I can sense your anticipation, Oliver… You have to
know, it will take a day or two to reach the ship. Oliver:
Don’t read my mind, ROBERT!!! He had said that quite
angrily, which made Robert wonder if he was mad at him. He
didn’t remember doing anything bad to him. His lash out made
Robert suspicious… Robert: Okay, sorry! Are you mad at me?
Oliver: No, not you. Sorry I yelled, but I am a little angry
that mom and dad made my little brother escort me, just
because you followed the family trait of Jupiter, when I am a
Mars Adept… Robert: We’re only 14 minutes apart, and going
by yourself would be way to dangerous. They just sent me
because they want you to be extra safe. Oliver: Well…
Let’s just go. Robert: Yeah. Let’s move. They lived in a
small village in the southwest continent of Hesperia. Their
village had a large inn, called The Harbor, because they lived
close to the eastern coast, and a lot of sea men stayed there
to rest. Most everyone in that small village, called Golo,
were Jupiter Adepts. Most the others that were a with a
different elemental alignment relocated their, or are
offspring to someone who moved there. Oliver was different. He
was a rogue. He was corresponding with Mars, a powerful and
proud people, but all of his family was a Jupiter Adept, a
race that was fond of solitude and knowledge. The Mars and
Jupiter traits of attitude fit into Robert and Oliver
perfectly. Oliver was proud, obstinate, and potent, while
Robert was Calm, quiet, and sometimes bleak. Where Oliver was
hotheaded and forward, Robert was strategic. This made them
argue sometimes. Robert: I’m telling you that we need to
take the east path! Oliver: And I’m telling you, that the
west way is a shortcut! Robert: That’s just what some of the
little kids say, because they don’t know their directions.
Oliver: What do you mean? Robert: Who told you it was a
shortcut? Little Jerry Raffled, and his “tales of
adventures? Oliver: Yeah, so what? Robert: He doesn’t even
know his right from his left. Remember his story that he flew
to Gondwan last month? Oliver: Okay, fine. We’ll follow the
regular path… Robert: Let’s go. They headed along the east
path, occasionally fighting small monsters, beating them with
their weapons; a small sword, and Oliver using a battle ax.
When they arrived at the Sargo River, they had to buy an
unexpected ticket on a ferry, because a monster that had been
had destroyed the bridge. This monster was just a myth, but
all the sailors and fishermen called it Denizen. It had never
been seen before, but left its marking at the bridge. A
triangle with a curved top edge, and a dot in the middle, at
least according to the myth. Woman selling tickets: Are you
crossing to the east? Oliver: Yes. Why? Woman: A monster
destroyed the bridge. A ferry ride is the only way across.
Robert: How much is a ticket? Woman: 1000 coins each. Oliver:
What?! That’s ridiculous! 1000 coins EACH??? What do you
think I’m made of, mon- Robert: Uh, do you sell maps? Woman:
Why yes! 5 coins. Robert: We’ll take two. Woman: That will
be 10 coins. Here you are. Robert: Thanks. They then walked
out of the shop, and Oliver followed Robert to a bench.
Oliver: What do we need a map for? Robert: I’m Going to see
if there is another way around the river. Oliver: Oh. Why did
you buy two? Robert: One for you on your travels. Here. Robert
handed him the world map. Oliver: Oh, thanks. I guess I forgot
to get one. Robert: Well, I guess that’s my going away
present to you. Robert scanned the map for a moment. Oliver:
Well…? Robert: There is no other way… Oliver then snatched
the area map from Robert. Oliver: Let me look. Yeah, I guess
there is no way but the ferry. Oliver noticed that Robert had
been staring at something the whole time that he had been
looking at the map. Oliver: Robert? Yoo-hoo? What are you
looking at? Robert: I’m using reveal. Oliver: What do you
see? Reveal is an ancient power, unique to the Jupiter Clan.
It grants the user with the power to view hidden objects or
treasures. Usually it takes much training of a Jupiter Adept
to learn this, but Robert has known it since he first noticed
his powers. Robert was looking at a large bush intensely.
Oliver:? Robert stuck his index finger up, and showed the
inside of his hand to Oliver, as if he meant ‘hold on.’ He
then walked over to the bush, and climbed under it. He then
climbed back out, and called Oliver over. Robert: Come here! I
see Ferry tickets!! I can’t reach it though. Maybe you can
though. Oliver: Move back! Robert: Just climb under and reach
for it. Robert wondered why he was still sitting at the bench,
but then he figured it out, and scurried away, as fast as he
could. Oliver concentrated at the bush, and then…BOOM!
Oliver used the mighty power of Mars, and blew the bush out of
its roots. It shot up in the air, and Robert quickly retrieved
the tickets before the bush landed. It landed as they were
walking away. Although it was no longer a bush, now it was
charred specks of dust. They walked away, chuckling. Oliver: I
can’t believe we found tickets! What luck! At that moment,
Robert took out the slip that they found, and opened it up.
Robert: Make that ticket… There’s only one here! Robert
sensed that Oliver felt a little happier. What could this
mean? Oliver: Oh, too bad. I guess you’ll have to go back
home… Robert: Yeah… Well, let me get my- A large woman
then appeared, and she seemed quite upset. Large Woman: Have
you two seen a brown slip, containing a ferry ticket?! I was
standing by that bush- by a bush, and now I can’t find it!
Robert had it in his hand at that moment, and the woman
noticed it. Large Woman: Oh!! You found my ticket!! May I have
it back? Robert hesitated for a second, and then reluctantly
handed it over. Now Oliver couldn’t even go… Robert:
Here… Large Woman: You two need a suitable reward. What do
you two need right now? Robert and Oliver’s eyes widened.
Oliver: A ticket! Or 1000 coins. Robert: Or 2 tickets. Large
Woman: Well, since I do have enough coins, and you both were
so polite. The Woman pulled out a coin purse, and snapped it
open. It was rather large, for a coin purse. When she opened
it, it was filled with coins! There was probably 10, 000 coins
stuffed in there! Large Woman: Here. You deserve it boys! She
handed them both 1000 coins. Oliver: Thankyou, miss. Robert:
Yeah! Now we can both ride the ferry across! Robert felt a
nervous pulse go across Oliver. The woman left, and the boys
headed to the travel shop. Robert: Two round trip tickets
please. Robert felt it again! As he said ‘Two round trip
tickets please.’ A nervous pulse went through Oliver. Shop
Lady: That will be 2000 coins. Here you are. Robert: Thank
you. Come on Oliver. They walked to they ferry, and showed
their tickets to the man guarding the ferry entrance. Guard:
Welcome to the Sargo River Ferry. Please keep your body and
belongings on the ferry. Thank you and have a good ride. They
both walked up they ramp. Oliver looked to the side, at the
dock. He nodded at a large man wearing a cloak, which made him
completely black. Oliver suspiciously nodded, and the figure
nodded back. They got on, and Robert turned to Oliver. Robert:
Who was that? Oliver: No one. Robert thought he sensed a note
of anger in his brother. They sat down at a bench, and sighed.
The water passed them slowly, and then they started moving.
After an hour or so, Robert got up, and announced he was
hungry. Robert: Oh man! I need some chow. After he said that,
a sailor working on the ferry came running by screaming.
Oliver’s mouth flickered into an unnoticeable grin. Sailor:
MONSTER! Run!! GET OFF THE FERRY! IT’S THE DENIZEN! Then the
ferry started to rock. People rushed to the life one boat, but
Robert went to see the ‘monster’. Oliver, though not
screaming or frightened like the other passengers, got on the
lifeboat. Robert walked to the front of the ferry, now the
only one left on it. The boat tipped over, as a giant serpent
was knocking it over! Robert dove in, even though the monster
was there. The monster began to fight him. Robert cast his
best attack, plasma, but it didn’t seem like it hurt the
beast, even though he was wet! The monster whipped Robert, and
he went flying out of the water. The monster disappeared.
Robert’s eyes blackened out. Chapter 2 Fargo Robert suddenly
woke from a feverish nightmare. He suddenly arose to find
himself in a small, dark cottage. Robert: *pant, pant* Where
am I? A small, old man appeared. He was wearing a dark green
cloak, with the hood off. He had a walking stick, made of oak.
He had a beard, but no mustache. He was completely bald, and
had Wrinkles across is brow. Old man: Are you okay, son? You
were out for 2 days. Robert: What? Where am I? Who are you?
Old man: I am called Fargo. I have lived here for many
decades, and I always go on a morning walk. I walk from my
cottage, to the docks, and back. I found you washed up on
shore, a bad wrist. After Fargo said that, he looked at his
wrist. It was wrapped up, a red spot on it. Robert: Is it
broken? Fargo: No, just cut and bruised up. Robert: That’s
good. Uh, sorry if this sounds rude, but… do you have
anything to eat? Fargo: Oh, not rude at all. You’ve been out
for 2 days! Now, what would you like? Robert: Oatmeal would be
fine, if you have it of course. Fargo: Oatmeal! Ha ha ha. You
sure you don’t want something better, like stew, or ham?
Robert: Sure!! I love ham! All we have at our house is
Oatmeal. Well, my brother Oliver and I. He escaped onto the
lifeboat, and is of course he’s on his ship to Angara. He is
going to the north, to train under a man named Kraden. Fargo:
Ah, yes. That is what he merely told you. Robert: What? What
do you mean? Fargo: Hmm… This is difficult to tell you…
Robert: What? What is so difficult? Fargo: First, I must
explain. Centuries ago, Four weapons were crafted in the name
of destruction. Each had the power of the elements within
them. Mars, Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury. They could be wielded
by anyone, and they granted that person power of that element,
power beyond belief. An evil foursome recovered these items,
and brought fear and pain into many of a people. But Justice
arose. Four knights came, and a grand and terrible battle came
between these groups. But the wielders of the weapons were too
powerful. They beat them the only way they could. Sacrificing
themselves, they ended the evil groups reign. Their spirits
locked away the weapons at the tips of the world. The Mercury
weapon is called The Sapphire Trident, which is in the north.
In the south is The Ruby Mace, the Mars weapon. The Amethyst
staff is Jupiter’s weapon, which is in the west. Finally,
the Venus weapon is called The Topaz Sword. Robert: What does
that have to do with Oliver?
