We enjoy visiting various places in England.
In May 2004 travelled on P.S. Waverley, last sea going paddle steamer in world, to Lundy Island in Bristol Channel for a day.  Here I am seen near Threequarter wall.
Enjoy annual day trip to either Padstow for Obby Oss Day or Helston for Flora Day.  Both events are in May.  Below left picture of Padstow Harbour.
In recent years we have also made visits to the Lake District and to Yorkshire.
Punting on the River Cam, at Cambridge, is great fun and is easy, when the punt is facing the desired direction.  Mathmatical Bridge is behind me.  Built in 1749, by  James Essex  and rebuilt in 1866 & 1905 tourists are told by Cambridge University fellows that the bridge was disassembled, for repairs,  and could not be reassembled without screws.  This is a baseless myth as the bridge has always had such fasteners.

Clovelly, in North Devon, with its old harbour, makes a fine day out.  H.M.S. Victory is a commissioned Royal Navy ship which was commanded by Admiral Lord Nelson.  He lost his life on the ship on 21st October 1805 at The Battle of Trafalgar.    A London Routemaster painted to commemorate the jubilee.
Summer 2002 visit to North Wales.  Jenny took train to summit of Snowden whilst I walked.  Here I am seen at summit.  The longest named station in Wales.  On map it is shown as Llanfair P.W.  The Queen made a visit in June 2002 on the Royal Train which was hauled by a steam engine for the first time in 35 years.
Above Jenny on steps of Nora Batty's house.  This television program is filmed at Holmfirth in Yorkshire.   Below Jenny outside Mostyn's Garage in Aidenfield (Goathland) setting of Heartbeat.
