According to a Pierson descendent, Nathan Morgan was raised by Lucretia Morgan Pierson. In addition, Nathan worked in a bank in New Jersey, Jackson Co., IN. The bank went under but was owned by Fullenlove and House and they printed their own money as did many other banks at the time. The town, called Jersey in much Jackson County lore, no longer exists, but it was on the border between Scott and Jackson Counties on the railroad which just where the Muscatatuk River crosses between both the present US 31 and I65. New Jersey was founded in the 1830's and Nathan was about the 4th or 5th surname to be associated with the town.
