About Us:
We are Nick and Becki Steward.  We have been married for 33 years this November.  We have two adult children - daughters.  The eldest, Nicole, is a nurse and our youngest, Maudy, is a medical transcriptionist and certified medical coder at our local hospital, Modoc Medical Center.  Our youngest delivered our first grandchild on August 17, 2000.  We are overjoyed with this addition to our family.  (See photos below) 

Also, we are a Christian couple, who share a deep faith in our God and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are redeemed sinners, bought with a price -- the precious blood of the sacrificial Lamb of God, without whose shed blood for the remittance of sins, our salvation would not be possible.  We love to share our faith with all who will listen.  We attend the Alturas Baptist Church, at 500 W. Fourth Street, in Alturas.

We live 10 miles southwest of Alturas, California, the County Seat of Modoc County.  Modoc County is the northeast corner of the State, bordering Oregon and Nevada.  It is a beautiful high-desert area.  Our ISP is High Desert Online. On our three acre farm, we raise and/or sell Standard Rat Terriers, Leopard Curs and several species of Game Birds.  We look forward to adding many other farm animals to our menagerie as we continue to build and improve our farm.

We have also added an orchard and vegetable and herb gardens to our farm.  We raise both cooking and medicinal herbs to use and share with friends and family.  We are happy to have a medium to share our experiences with others who have like interests in an effort to be of some help to those in need.  Like the old saying goes, "A friend in need is a friend indeed!"

We would like to introduce you to our newest family member, our granddaughter, Kameron Crystal Slinkard - born to our youngest daughter, Maudy Steward and Sean Slinkard of Alturas.  Paternal Grandparents are Gary and Susan Slinkard, also of Alturas. She is our first grandchild.  We are very proud of this little bundle of joy.  We look forward to spoiling her to the umpteenth degree.  She is the apple of our eyes!  She brings much joy into our lives.

Kameron, aka "Ruby" is now 3 years old..  She is in preschool.  Her sparkling personality is developing and making her more delightful every day.

I hope to post new pics soon. For a while, my scanner is incompatible with my new computer operating system, Windows XP and I am unable to get any new photos loaded.  I will get a new one and hopefully do some in the near future.

Maudy was married to Kevin Sherer, son of Charlie and Marlene Sherer of Canby, CA, on May 10, 2003, in a beautiful ceremony at the Cal Pines Lodge in the Cal Pines Subdivision.  We hope to post pictures soon on our family photos page.
