A history of Fender Guitars

Here's an interesting Vintage Guitar Information Page.

A look at Fender Guitar's courtesy of Gary's Guitars.

More guitar information and vintage guitars at Guitar Base.

And here's a famous vintage guitar resource: Gruhn's Guitars.

Here's a link to 20th Century Guitar Magazine.

This is a 1967 Fender Coronado II that I played at a guitar show in Long Island (when I had a wacky Beatle haircut.) I later bought one exactly like it, to match my 12 string Coronado. I eventually both guitars in favor of two Gretsch guitars and a Rickenbacker 12 string.

Someday I'll own one of these. The Fender Coronado Wildwood was a little nicer than some of the other Coronado models, like that one on the left. It's got a nicer neck and plays a little easier. This clean model was only about $800 at a Pennsylvania guitar show. I should have taken it home! Fender created this dyed wood effect by actually injecting trees with dye before they were cut down! Only in the 60s....
