Blank Pages

I perform my original power pop music in a band called Blank Pages. The group formed in 1992 when I met friend and bass player Wayne Philipp from a newspaper ad. Many members have since come and gone, but we’re still active.

Blank Pages has several albums on the FDR Label. The latest, “On My Street,” was released in December 2007. The band features Ed McCaffrey on drums, Jason Brown on bass and guitar and Greg Potter on guitar and vocals. Our friends Wayne Phillip and Jon Mollenhauer regularly contribute to our recordings as well.

Almost FAB

Almost Fab is a Beatles tribute band that I began performing with in 2004. Instead of wearing wigs and acting with fake British accents, the group focuses on recreating the sound of the original Beatle recordings as accurately as possible-live on stage.

The band features Rich Snyder on guitar (John), AJ DeFeo on bass (Paul), Ray Baker on keyboard and percussion (our George Martin), and Ed McCaffrey on drums (Ringo). I play lead guitar (George).

Hot Rod Diner

I perform oldies, surf and rockabilly in a group called Hot Rod Diner. Our repertoire includes classic rockabilly songs from Elvis, Carl Perkins, Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran and many others. Every year, we celebrate Elvis’ birthday with a weekend of shows backing Elvis Davy J, an impersonator from Pennsylvania.

The band features Ed McCaffrey on drums, Bradley Keough on bass, and Pete Cogan on harmonica. I play guitar and sing lead vocals.

Jim Six

Jim has a unique style that is often described as a mix of country and folk. He’s got a deep, booming voice that commands attention when he sings. He’s also a great songwriter, and performs mainly his own material, which he’s been writing since the 1970s. I have the pleasure of sitting in with Jim regularly at coffeehouses, restaurants and bars in the area.
