Stadt Weilburg

Weilburg was first mentioned in the year 906, it was called "Veste Wilinebruch", whuich means built on a rock.  The city still has many historic places to visit and is full of history.  The castle is one of the most beautiful ones to visit on the Lahn river.

Our first trip in Germany was to Weilburg an der Lahn which is located north of Frankfurt.  There Gynni saw the marvelous castle with the gardens...it was a breathtaking site..

Here is Gynni in front of one of the many fountains found in Weilburg...this one is located in the courtyard of the castle.
