Ashtanga yoga is a refined system of therapeutic postures. Each pose is linked to the next through a series of flowing movements, propelled and woven together by the breath. Deep inner heat is rapidly generated - opening and purifying the body from a cellular level. Through regular practice, flexibility, strength and stamina are achieved. At the same time fluid, smooth breathing develops producing a calm nervous system and a contented, vibrant mind. Students are generally reasonably advanced though beginners are always welcome. The teacher of this class (the webmaster of this site!) moved to London and the students continue to practice. Apparently. Try Adrienne on the number above for more details. |
