Hello and welcome to our classroom.
We are a homeschooling family. We have made the decision
to homeschool in answer to our Lord who we believe
called us to this awesome task. It has been such a blessing to our family.
This is our third year homeschooling, so we don't have many magic
words of wisdom to offer, only the reasons why we believe
homeschooling is the best choice for us. I have however tried to
find some great resources here to help you explore the world of
homeschooling and learning.
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your
heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
Deut. 6:5
We firmly believe that education should not just teach academics,
but should educate the entire individual. We are not just striving
to teach "reading, writing, and arithmetic", but also to develop
strong morals and ethics in our children. We believe that our children
must also learn to live in the real world and must be equipped to
do so. Don't take this to mean that we don't think that academics
are important, we do, we just believe that giving our children a
solid foundation of moral character and good values are equally as
important. We also believe that it is our duty to make sure that our
children have a firm foundation in the Lord. We have been instructed
about this in His word.
And these words, which I am commanding you today, shall
be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children
and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by
the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.
Deut. 6:6,7
