July 7th was Sunday. We left Hudson and continued out I-76. We were able to help Bill & Linda Nichols who were on the side of the road with a flat tire. We stopped in Keenesburg and shared Christ with a couple. When we got to Roggin, we needed to use the restroom. There was nothing there but a couple of houses, a closed gas station and a church. We saw cars in the parkinglot, so we went to see if we could use the restroom. They were having a pot luck and invited us to join them. Isn't God great! We used the bathroom, got a meal and were able to share what He had us out here doing.
July 12th was a bear of a day! We had 5 flat tires, alot of empty farm land to cover and didn't think we were ever going to get anywhere. It was about 8:00pm and we were in the middle of no where saying, "Where are we going to sleep Lord?" We saw a farm house down a dirt road, so we turned down. There were two guys working in a ditch. One of them popped up and said, "Hey, I know you." We had asked him and his wife where the Walmart was, the day before in Sterling. He asked if we had a place to sleep, and told us his farm was where the red barn was over there. He would meet us there and we could spend the night in his yard. We were able to minister to him and his wife. God is Awesome!
July 13th we spent the night in the park in a real small town--Sedgewick. They didn't even have a store. I really wanted some eggs, so Ashley and I went across the street and knocked on a door. I asked the guy if he had an extra dozen eggs that we could buy. He looked at me rather strangely like he had never heard that request before. The he got us some eggs and said no charge!
July 14th, we rode on in to Julesburg. We asked God to show us where to fellowship. We hadded down the street about 7 blocks and found a Mennonite Church. The pastor asked Jim to share about what we were doin. He shared Isaiah 53. The Holy Spirit moved on alot of lives. Afterwards a family took us home to fellowship for the day and we spent the night.
