The 2000 Mile U-TURN
Welcome to the first part of our trip! We are the Hughes family; Jim, Joyce, Ashley (15), Christopher(14). We began riding in Denver Colorado on July 4th, 2002. Our purpose is to share the love of Christ, His Hope and Salvation everywhere that we go. On bicycles, we are traveling slow enough that we meet ALOT of people.
We rode east through Colorado into Nebraska. We traveled across Nebraska on highways 30 and 34. We turned south at Seward and continued on down through the states of Kansas and Oklahohma, then into Texas. When we got to Fort Worth, we turned to the west and rode through the big state of Texas into New Mexico. We completed our 2000 mile u-turn in Carlsbad New Mexico on October 15th, 2002.
The Lord did many exciting things in these 2000 miles. Many lives were changed, including ours! We saw the Lord do many miracles and can't wait to see what He is going to do next.

We are now in Mexico! Yes, we rode our bicycles down! We are in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico. The Lord is moving mightily and opening many doors of ministry. Check out our page on Mexico to find out about our trip down and what we are doing here! |
