NEBRASKA Trip Notes II: These are highlights of our bicycle trip across America. There is no way that we can relate EVERYTHING that has happened out here. We talk to dozens of people each day about the Lord---at stores, parks, along the side of the road, everywhere that we go. The following are examples of some of the awesome ways that the Lord is moving out here.
August 3rd--We arrived in York today. God led us to a Four Square Church. No one was there. We called the Pastor--Bill Holt. He came down to the church to meet us. He and his wife Judy took us to Wendy's for dinner. We spent the night at their house and were able to share with them. The next morning we ministered at the church. The kids shared and did a song--"Say Jesus real loud". It was an awesome time and people were encouraged to step out of their comfort zone and walk in what God had for them.
August 6th-- We stopped at a convenience store right out of Seward to eat lunch. A man (Walt) came over and started talking to us about the bikes. We asked him if he knew Jesus. He said yes and broke down crying. He started sharing about his life. His son died of cancer (knowing the Lord). His granddaughter was molested at school and he had wanted to kill the principal. We prayed with him concerning the hurts and ministered to him about forgiveness. God healed him that day!
