"Ten Reasons"
What is BSL and why doesn't it work?

Breed specific legislation is the regulation of your right to own aspecific breed of dog. These regulations do not work because most of the time the problem is with the owners and not with the breed of dog. Irresponsible owners and criminals who use them for illegal purposes will only change to another breed and start making them aggressive. So that it will become a neverending cycle. Some dogs are hard to identify especially ones who are not registered or pedigreed, so other dog owners get punished as well. The real answer to the problem is stronger enforcement of existing dog laws. This would protect everyone from the untrained or unsupervised dogs.

Here are some reasons why it is unfair to only punish a few breeds...

Chow attacks 12 year old boy
Mastiff attacks Pomeranian
Pomeranian kills baby girl
Jack Russell kills puppy
