How you can help

Hospice is a community asset.  The demand for Hospice services is increasing, partly as word spreads of the wonderful services available. It is comforting to know that as a result of everyone's effort thus far, we have earned the respect of our community.  Hospice exists to serve the community and in turn has the ask the community for support.

To implement the Hospice philosophy of caring for the terminally ill and their families takes a great deal of time, effort and resource.  As a Charitable Trust, we rely on donations from the community.  Our team of caregivers need transport, equipment and a home base to ensure patients in the Hibiscus Coast Community can benefit from the Hospice Service.  Financial support from the Ministry of Health covers approximately 50% of budget.  The balance has to be raised from donations, bequests, grants from Charitable Trusts, the Hospice Shoppes and special projects such as Charity Sports Tournaments, "A Night To Remember" Dinners, Remembrance Christmas Trees and the sale of greeting cards etc.  The Friends of Hospice give an annual donation and the Service Clubs have all been generous in their support.  The Hospice could not survive without this assistance.  Thank you to all the people in the community who have helped in all sorts of ways.

We need your help too!

You can help, in more ways than you might think.
