(obituary written by Janette Winters-Hubbard) Barry Jonathon Winters (October 28, 1980-November 2, 2003). He was raised in Southern California and moved to Woodland in September 2003 to be with his love. He served in the Peace Corps and was often involved in political campaigning for the Green Party. He was passionate about the environment and loved children. He brought joy to disadvantaged children by building computers and teaching inner-city children how to use them. He donated much of his family's considerable wealth to charities such as the World Wildlife Fund and Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. He was a courageous, beautiful spirit, and he has finally been set free from his earthly pain. He was a devoted brother and uncle, a compassionate and dedicated friend, and an intelligent, humorous man. Barry took his own life in the city that he loved, Boston, MA. His survivors hope he has finally found his peace. He leaves behind his sister, Janette Winters-Hubbard, of Pomona, CA; and his intimate friend, Holly Bishop, of Davis. Out of respect for our beloved's wishes, there will be no services. Tribute Poem (Shattered) by holly |
