BATH TIME!!! Iguanas swim in the wild native habitats. They are good swimmers. They should be provided a large water bowl in their cage. This way the iguana can soak itself or drink from it whenever it wants to. Iguanas can swim in larger bodies of water. I'm not really sure on this subject of swimming. I do, however, recommend that the iguana be allowed to swim in the bath tub of your house, if you don't mind. Make sure the water is warm and not too hot and not too cold. Constant supervision is required. The tub should be cleaned prior to the iguana getting in and then cleaned after the iguana has taken its bath. I don't know if the iguana should swim in a swimming pool. My best guess is no. Better safe than sorry. The water in the iguana's enclosure should be changed daily. Soaking your iguana when he/she is shedding helps to remove the loose skin. I have also heard that soaking encourages iguanas to poop.
