Ode to a Scottish Lass

Her long brown hair tossed about by the breeze
Strong Scottish lass, now, do as you please
Charm with your laugh and dance the whole night away
Two-step in Texas, hey, whadda you say?

Her voice is a melody, more like a song
Than a statement of fact, hey, what's right is not wrong
Aye, she's sweeter than honey, boy, but watch what you say
She may hook you and you'll just be carried away

Oh, Hazel, your eyes have a story to tell
A song and a dance, Lord, a ring and a bell
And when you're through speaking the whole world will see
What a wonderful woman you are to me
