Patiphan
Pattaveekarn, better known as Mos, has several albums out including
Dr. Mos, Mr. Mos, Happy Mos, and more. At first, I think he was
only a singer. It wasn't till a few years ago that he started
acting. I think he is one of the very few Thai singers who turn
to acting and who are actually good at it. He is a really talented
actor.
In 1997 he
starred in a movie called Jakkrayarn See Deang (The Red Bicycle)
with Amita TaTa Young. This movie was very popular. Personally,
I didn't think the movie was great but the music was very good.
Later that year, he released and album called Mos and Tata which
has many good new songs, most of which are from the movie. After
1997, Mos went to college in California. He returned to Thailand
in 2001 and released another album called Happy Trip.
Lakorn: Poochai
Mai Pah (Guys Never Loose)
This is my
favorite lakorn starring Mos. It came out in August 1998. The
nung-eg in this lakorn is the same one in "Toh Fah Gup Mah Win."
I think she is better with Mos than with Fluke.
Mos plays
Pakin, a young man in love who is trying to get by in life.
He was put in jail for five years for a crime he didn't commit.
His enemy, a rich guy named Ahcadet had blamed the crime
on Pakin and even after Pakin gets out of jail, he is determined
to get rid of Pakin. Of course, between these two is our nung-eg,
Gaow. During the time when Pakin was in jail, Gaow meets Ahcadet
and started to date him. Pakin is faced with either telling Gaow
about his past and who sent him to jail or he either let's Gaow
marry a man who can support her and who isn't a convicted killer.
This is one
of my favorite lakorns of all. It has a really upbeat and interesting
story line. I loved it up the very end! I am sure anyone who has
seen this has to agree with me.
