1991

1991 would be the last year that the My Little Ponies would be produced for a while. However, by 1991, My Little Ponies could do something which they had never do before; talk. These were the Sweet Talk'n Ponies. Only two were produced, but did not have names in the United States. In the UK; however, these ponies where called Chatter Box and Talk-A-Lot. They said three phrases: "Comb My Hair," "I Love You," and "I'm Pretty."

The Fancy Mermaid Ponies were also produced. These ponies were not like the Sea Ponies. These ponies had the tail of a fish and the head of a horse; a "merpony" as you would say. See the pictures below to see for yourself. These ponies had a shimmering body and none like them would be produced after and none like them had not been produced before.

Also, the Sundazzle Ponies were produced in 1991. These ponies had hair which could change color in the sunlight! A streak in their mane would turn from white to pink when placed in the sun.

The Soda Sippin' Ponies were also made in 1991. There were only two of these ponies made and they could "drink" from a soda when you squeezed on their sides. See the pictures below.
