It does look like a historical parade in the traditional yearly festival of Kyoto (jidai matsuri in Japanese), especially because there's someone holding Oda Nobunaga's horse for him. But this is a scene from a movie that's supposed to give us some insights regarding Oda Nobunaga's battle against the ninja clan of Iga in 1581. The only problem is, in real history, Oda Nobunaga didn't go there by himself.
A cute pic of Oda Nobunaga at 7 years old, when, in real life, he went to his very first war. The picture was made and sent by Asamichi Riki, who's not much older than Oda at the time -- Riki turned 11 in May 2005. He's currently going to Elementary School in Nagano. Riki-kun, oai dekite ureshii desu! Arigato gozaimasu. :-)

A truly great, even though the props are as a matter of course very historically-incorrect, depiction of Oda Nobunaga in his battle against Imagawa Yoshimoto of Suruga in 1560 according to the designers of a videogame in 2005. This was Oda's first great war, and the most famous after Nagashino (1575), since he won it in a manner that was almost miraculous (or alternately genius).
Statue of Oda Nobunaga in the city of Azuchi, the one that he built in 1576. This pic was sent by Günther Dau & Alicia Montmarre, who were attending a agricultural conference there in February 2005. To Herr Dau: Vielen Dank.
