SWEET SORROW
Sweet sorrow ,
Sweet sorrow that has filled my soul with its anguish,
Blackened hands ,
Sooted with the dirt of sin committed,
Pain ,
The sweet scent of pain,
Fills my soul,
For I shall never love again,
I swear to the essence that is my soul,
That I will never glance at love again,
Will never feel its warm embrace,
For what I have done has scarred me ,
My heart shall feel no joy ,
No gladness shall enter,
For now,
I am death,
I am decaying,
I am to walk this life alone ,
Unfullfilled,
Quench not my thirst for love,
For I shall be billowed with the test of time,
Loveless night shall surely follow,
For I have sinned against God ,
Against my soul's sweet, sweet song,
I have become all that I had vowed not to be,
I am my mother,
I am my mother,
I am of the women that think only of self indulgence ,
Pray that my soul is not lost,
For without him I am dying,
Leave me to die this bitter death,
The rescuing wings of decay to kiss my drying lips,
Quench me death,
With the poison of your love,
Bring to me its rest ,
Bring to me its freedom,
Bring to me its reward,
For parting is such sweet sorrow
