Knight | ||||||||||
The rank of Knight is a prestigious rank not easily obtained. It is the goal of all squires. A knight has proven his dedication and selflessness many times over. His is the model of knighthood. At this stage he has come to the realization all men are flawed and will make mistakes. He has dedicated his life to not giving in to the despair of this knowledge but to strive that much harder in the attempt to reach his knighthood in everything he does. The knight highly enjoys sports and tournaments to gain fame and recognition for his abilities. However, he is not quite yet capable of supporting the immense costs attached to a knight's needs. He seeks out a Lord to fund his efforts to achieve renown. The rank of Knight will not be permitted to take on squires. He has yet himself attainted renown and does not have the resources required to do so. It is not until he has achieved the rank of Knight Errant that he will be able to train a squire. The knight will, from time to time, be sent on ambassador missions from the King and Queen to allies and enemies alike. Considered honorable and chivalrous, they are often given the tasks of being escorts, delivering personal messages, diplomacy, etc. This is where the differences between Knights become useful. Every Knight has his place in the world; an honor-bound, stern, uptight knight would be used as an ambassador to the Paladin Isle where the Knight of the Beer Breath would be sent to the Pirates. With each character's trait comes a window of opportunity. |
