Introduction:
The role of a Knight is not to be confused with the role of a guard, or the soldier. Deed, thought, and the nobility of his character define the Role of a Knight. This is one of the primary reasons for a long squire hood. This is to ensure the character wishing to portray a Knight of Inethria will succeed and add to the ranks by more than steel alone.
Although important, a Knight is more than excellence in both player vs. player and player vs. monster combat. It is a way of being, an example, and a role model. Being kind and courteous and following the Code of Chivalry are attributes of a true Knight of Inethria. This is not a position to be approached with a faint heart. We don't want killers and strongmen. The rank of Knight is reserved for Role Players who can play the part to a tee. In time of combat, all Knights will fall under the authority of the Commander and obey his commands.
Please refer to each individual rank for detailed information on the given area of progress for Knighthood in the Kingdom of Inethria. |
