| The Royal Guard | ||||||||||
| The Royal Guard consists of highly trained and extremely disciplined warriors. The primary duty of a Royal Guard is to protect the Royal Family at all costs and by any means necessary. Although not mandatory, it is not uncommon for a member of the Royal Guard to have expert training in poisoning. This ability to understand the use of the deadly toxin enable him to better serve his duties. Although uncommon, the Royal Guard may seek out a skilled wizard to teach him particular spells to aid him in battle, such as engery vortex. He will never have the ability to master spells as the wizard does and thus will refrain from using spell weaving or necromancy spells. Only the most capable warriors of player vs. player combat will choose this path, as it will require them to face some of the most dangerous and capable combatants who threaten the lives of the Royal Family. His loyalty to the Kingdom is unwavering and listens to orders given by higher-ranking members without question or hesistation, unless such orders threaten the well-being of the Royal Family. A Royal Guard does not specifcally have any commond over Veteran Warrior. However, he has, for the most part, earned their respect due to his skill at killing and dedication to the Royal Family. It is not uncommon for him to command Veteran Warriors in combat when the Commander or other higher-ranking memebrs are not present. But, he will never be seen barking orders to fellow warriors for he sees them as brothers in arms and nothing less. King and Queen can only grant the rank of Royal Guard. A Veteran Warrior may petition his request to join the rank, but he must be reviewed and approved before adorning the rank. If denied, do not take this as a slgiht against you. Not every warrior will want to pursue this path, as it is extremely demanding and restricts him to skills, weapons, and role-play specifically designed for player vs. player combat. It is not expected of every warrior to be brilliant at player vs. player comabt. However, the Royal Guard's primary duty required him to be higher than average at it. If you are not comfortable at such game play then your character is much better of as a Veteran Armsman or Solider. Uniform: - Sash in the guild color. You may wear any other clothing on your character's body so long as your character looks European medieval. Arms and Armor: - His primary prefernce for armor is anything that enables him to be better at player vs. player combat. His most favorable ability is to be able to kill and do it quickly in order to protect the Royal Family. However, he must maintin the appearance of the appearance of a European medieval warrior. It is highly recommended the palyer focus his characater on skills aimed at player vs. player combat. Skills Not Allowed: - Spell weaving, necromacny, spirit speak, archery, craft skills, hiding, stealth, musician skills, animal taming skills. A Note Reagarding Items: - Even though the Royal Guard is expeted to be superior at player vs. player combat, he is still even that much more expected to follow the guidelines of role-playing a European medieval warrior.
