+ To clean your can opener blade
simply use an old toothbrush loaded
with dish soap then scrub vigorously.

+ Do you hate prying open the metal
spout on the dishwasher
soap box?
Purchase a plastic pitcher,
preferably the one with the lid that turns to
allow product to flow through
the lid. Fill container with the
dishwasher soap and use for
dispensing of dishwasher soap.
Warning: do not re-use pitcher to fill with food for
human consumption.
+ For utensil trays that slide in
draws place waded-up newspaper
behind tray to prevent slipping.
+ To prevent scratching stacked pans
and pots place a paper-towel
or paper plate between each.
+ To remove odors from containers
take 1 tablespoon of dry coffee
grounds and
wrap in a tissue, tie with a twist-tie place in sealed
container. If you plan on moving,
place in empty refrigerator
and freezer.
+ Tired of paying too much for those
scrub-pads? For about $1,
go to Wal-Mart or
any hardware store and purchase steel wool pads
(medium #1). The package
contains 16 large pads. Use about 1/4 of
the pad along with 3 tsp. of
baking powder and liquid dish soap.
We are talking about at
least a 2 year supply here; think of the
money you will be saving!!!
+ To reduce the dust in your home
take a dryer fabric sheet [the ones
that fold] and tape it to the
inside of your air vents. Change each
month and you will be surprise
of all the dust collected.
+ To help sanitize counter tops, stoves
and sinks. Combine 2 Tblsp.
of chlorine bleach and 1 quart
of water in a new spray container.
Spray. Leave 5
minutes [vent room]. Then wipe with a clean cloth.
Do not mix with any other chemicals.
Warning: make sure your counter
is safe to use bleach!
