| Tekapo
derives its name from taka (sleeping mat) and po (night). The tourquoise
colour of the lake is created by 'rock flour', finely ground particles of rock held in suspension in the glacial melt water. This Panoramic is taken with our 20mm SLR lens. It's very chilly here, but the scenery is very beautiful. |
