| Mt
Cook - at 3755m the highest peak in Australasia. Mt Cook national park is
700 sq km in area and one of the most spectacular in a country famous for
its parks. The area around Mount Cook has the most beautiful scenery as compared to other places we've been in New Zealand. The surrounding snow-caped mountains are enchanting. It was raining heavily when we were going to Mount Cook National Park but stopped when we reached there. Even with cloudy sky we were still captivated by it's beauty while we walked the Red Tarns track. |
