In Lettomanoppello and Roccamorice, as elsewhere in Italy, the same families remained in the same towns for generations, resulting in very large extended families. Soprannomi--dialect nicknames--distinguished one branch of the family from another, and/or one individual from another with the same name. We think it would be fun to share our family nicknames. If you would like to have your family's sopranomme posted on this page, please email it to Bonnie & Sara, giving us: the family name, the sopranomme and what it means (if you know), which of the two towns the family lived in, and your email and/or snailmail address, which we will also post so that others can contact you. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
