Many Giant thanks and hugs go out to the Uphouse Research Lab at Texas Woman's University for making a donation in Lucy's memory to Operation Kindness, a no kill animal shelter, to help a German Shepherd named Boo have an important surgery. I'm glad to announce Boo has now been adopted to her forever home. |

Lucy's passing was a tragedy not only for us, but for all of the people who knew and loved Lucy, in person and also through the internet. I know its a grim part of the website to visit, but it is part of the life of a cherished companion animal. |
July 18, 2007 Hello all, I can see from the webpage's counter that the Isle Of Lucy still has a constant patronage. Thank you for continuing to visit the site and keeping Lucy's memory alive. The pain of losing Lucy has never eased, but I enjoy remembering the good times. It took nine months before I was able to open my heart to another furry friend. In December 2006, I adopted M'aggie, a Devon Rex cat. Her personality is very similar to that of a Giant Schnauzer; friendly, enjoys being the center of attention, obedient (yes its true!), inquisitive, loves playing the clown, and protective of her territory. Lucy always liked cats, and I know that she would have loved M'aggie. In fact, I have a feeling that in spirit, Lucy must have protected M'aggie and guided her into my life. Stop by and meet the new member of our family. Thank you for your continued support and emails, ~Christine & Family |
