Hitting another piece
The only way to progress in Skelly is to be able to shoot your piece where you want it to go. Shooting is a very simple process, this is the game screen when your piece is first place on the board...
Before Shooting
- This is your piece on the board. If you hold down shift you can move your piece around inside the box. You can only move when you arrive in a new box. Or when your piece is first placed on the board.
- When the game begins. You are placed in the box 1. Your target is box 2. Your goal is to arrive in that box by one of many strategies,
Discussed below
- Here are where the pieces are kept until they are placed on the board at their first turn.

If you hold the mouse down anywhere on the board, a line appears between the piece that is shooting, and where the mouse is. this is how you aim. It looks like this...
Aiming
- This is the aiming line. Your piece will be shot in the opposite direction of the line. So, in this example, the piece is going to be shot in the direction of Box 2.
When the mouse is released. The Power up bar appears. As well as the "Go" button. This is how you actually shoot the piece off. It looks like this...
Powering up
- The higher up the bar is when you click the "Go" button (2), the further the piece will move. The distance is also dependent on the friction of the piece. Which is discussed Here.
- When this button is clicked, your piece is shot across the board, depending on how you aimed it.

To win the game. You have to arrive in your box. This can be done in many ways. The first, and most obvious is shown in the picture below, the player simply shot their piece into Box 2. Their target...
Arriving at your destination
- This message box appears when a player reaches their box in some way. This particular message says:
Player 1 reached Target 2 (Target + 1)
New Location: Target 2
New Target 3
"(Target + 1)" means you move ahead "1" box. You get a box up for every player you hit (or is hit, because of your shot), every player whom you hit into their target boxes, and you get an extra box if you make your shot in 1 hit.
- The Player now arrived at their new location. They are able to move using Shift, like discussed above.
One of the easiest ways to get around the board is to hit other pieces. Once you get better at aiming. It's easier to hit other pieces. Hitting pieces works just like it would on a pool table. This is an example of what would happen...
Hitting another piece
- This is where the light-blue piece was when it was shot off, it was shot off at a
relatively low speed.
- Here it bounced off of the wall, slowing down even more.
- Here it strikes the top-left portion of the purple piece
- The light-blue piece continues to move, but it's direction was changed by the purple piece. It lands here
- The purple piece is sent away from the collision, and arrives here. The Light-blue player then gets to continue his turn, and advances one box.
