Here are some important facts about toys your dog should have and why they chew.

One very important reason a dog chews, is because it keeps your dogs teeth clean, and makes their teeth very strong.

If you give your dog nothing to chew on he will probably have plaque and tarter on every tooth. Rawhide in this case would probably be the best chewing bone. The reason your puppy might bite you playfully is because they need to bite things so when they are older they have big strong teeth. When they get older they can protect you. Encourage your puppy to chew, but make sure you have enough toys for your puppy so he won't chew on you.
