The Mutant League tournament was begun on Comic Book Resources' X-Books forum in 2003 by SOBO and has since become an annual event. In 2004 and 2005 it was organized by Sheldon. And this year, as Sheldon is swamped with law school, I've volunteered to administer the competition.
Some new items to note this year:
The draft list has been pared drastically, reflecting Marvel's Decimation event as closely as possible. Only characters that have proven on panel to still be mutants, or who appeared in X-Men: The 198 Files, have been included. If during the tournament it is revealed that any additional characters were NOT affected by M-Day, they will be elegible for automatic trade, effective with that participant's second round from that point. All non-mutants have been removed, as have characters with unpredictable (i.e. luck or reality) powers.
Additionally, the battlefield is being changed to be a barren wasteland as opposed to an abandoned city.
