BLOGDOM

What is a blog? Basically, it's an interactive online journal. Just like writing in a journal which you'd keep in your bedside table, but put out for all the world to see. It's made interactive through the use of commenting by others who read it, links to blogs you'd visit, site-meters to check who's stopping by, and the option to post pictures, links or articles.

Blogs are cool! But they can completely take over your life, your internet time, your thoughts. You can get really, really addicted to blogging! So, before you start your own blog - BE WARNED!

I've been blogging since October 2003. It's been a wild ride! It's been the one place where I've made connections with awesome people, where I've gotten feedback on issues or views, where I've learnt a lot from what other folk have to say.

Where can you find my blog? Well, if you want to know, you'll have to ask. If I like you, I'll let you know! :). But have a look at some other blogs in the meantime.

Some favourite blogs that I stop by daily:

AboveTheOrangeTrees - Jeff has recently completed a journey, by bicycle, with a friend, right across the USA. They're writing a book about their adventure.

BackyardMissionary - Andrew from Perth, Australia, is living out relational church in his neighbourhood.

BenedictionBlogsOn - "Bene" blogs from Canada about everything under the sun.

DogFightAtBankstown - "Saint" blogs from Melbourne, with some interesting perspectives on living on this planet.

DryBonesDance - Christy is in LA, USA, and has social justice at heart.

FragmentsFromFloyd - Fred First posts incredible pictures taken in the Smokey Mountains and owns the coolest dog ever - Tsuga.

GapingVoid - blog of a business-card artist in the advertising industry.

IreneQ - Irene blogs from Malaysia

JenLemen - Jen is an awesome woman from the USA, whose words seem to weave tapestries.

Jo'blog - the 4 guys blogging at this address are pretty much nuts - but in a nice way.

LivingRoom - Darren from Melbourne, the guy who got me started on this whole blogging adventure, helped me set up the blog, and give me a hits spike by spreading the word that I was blogging.

RealLivePreacher - Gordon has finally "come out of the closet" by giving his real name on his blog, and has published a book of his awesome stories.

TallSkinnyKiwi - Andrew is living out emerging church and alt.worship, with some very cool results.
