Downloading

In order to download Winamp, logon to winamp.com. Click Download from the main navigation bar and a table appears, displaying all of the available versions of Winamp, including Winamp Lite 2.72. Select Winamp 2.72 Lite and click the download icon:

Downloading Steps

  1. Clicking the download icon produces a dialog box showing two options: "Download this program from current location" or "Save this program to disk." Choose "Save this program to disk" and click OK.

  2. A Save As box appears, set to save Winamp272_lite to the computer's desktop. Pressing Save starts the download. A box appears showing the estimated download time and the transfer rate. At a 56K connection, this download can take roughly two minutes.

  3. When the download is complete, you can either close this dialog box and run the program later, or click Open to run Winamp.

Note: If you choose to open the program later, find it by going to your desktop and double-clicking the winamp272_lite icon.

After clicking Open, the Winamp client license agreement appears. Read the agreement. If you comply with the agreement, click next. This completes the download.

If you do not comply with the agreement, click Cancel and drag the Winamp icon into the recycling bin. You can not complete the Winamp download or run the program.
