Winamp operates similarly to a stereo with an amplifier.
 Basic Controls

Play Functions This is your basic operating area. It holds the controls to play, stop, pause, rewind and fast-forward a track, each represented these popular symbols:
Press the left arrow/bar icon to go to the previous track.
Press the right arrow icon to play a track.
Press the double bar icon to pause a track.
Press the square icon to stop a track.
Press the right arrow/bar icon to go to the next track.
Press the up arrow/bar icon to open and play any track(s).

Seeking Bar
To change position within a song or track that is playing, drag the "seeking bar" right or left.
While a track is playing, you may also right-click the seeking bar and choose from these three options:
- Jump to Time:
This gives the present location in the track and the total track length. Input any time within the song's track lengh and click Jump. The track jumps to that time.

- Rewind 5 seconds
You can also do this by pressing the left arrow on the keyboard.
- Forward 5 seconds
You can also do this by pressing the right arrow on the keyboard.

Volume
The long slider bar above the seeking bar controls volume. This controls the volume output from Wianmp itself. You also have volume control through the computer's speakers.
Balance
The short slider bar controls balance between the right and left speakers.
EQ and PL toggle buttons
Click these to make the Equalizer and Playlist windows open and close.

Shuffle/Repeat
The Shuffle command plays tracks in the selected playlist in random order. When Repeat (the circular arrow icon next to Shuffle) is activated, the complete playlist repeats after all tracks are played. If there is only one track selected, it repeats.
