Winamp operates similarly to any stereo with an amplifier. (The resemblance is no accident.)Opening the Player
Making a desktop shortcut to the Winamp player makes opening the program easier.
- Click the Start button, scroll up to Programs, and then to the Winamp folder in the drop-down menu.
- From the Winamp folder drop-down, right click and drag the Winamp application to the desktop.
- Release the mouse and choose "Create Shortcut(s) Here." A shortcut appears on your desktop.
- Go to the desktop and doubleclick the Winamp Icon. The program opens.
In the future, just doubleclick the desktop shortcut to open the program. You may also open it by clicking the Winamp icon in the tool bar.
