| Geospatial technologies is becoming more and more widly accepted with the public with inventions such as GPS. Another example would be google earth which shows the earth and all places on it. This is popular because it allows people to view possible vacation places before going. Studying geosciences has also increased along with its popularity. Student increase is shown most in 3D-models of cities and possible scenarios of catastrophes. Scientist are currently working mainly on improving disatster warning systems. This is in response to the devastating tsunamis, hurricanes and floods. |
