When I was planning my term, I didn't know exactly what my theme was going to be until just about six months or so ago.  I had an idea of what I wanted, but I didn't know exactly what I wanted.  I knew I wanted to include something about the phoenix, because that is something that has meaning to me.  I was toying around with ideas, when my grandma found a picture of a phoenix on the Internet with the words, "Up From The Ashes Grow the Roses of Success."  I thought about it for awhile and decided that this was what I wanted my theme to be.  It fit my purpose perfectly and I liked how the words flowed together.
I also wanted to have this theme because I liked the message behind the words.  I think it is a message that everyone should live with every day.  This message is that even when someone makes a mistake or something blows up in their face, they should learn from their mistakes, get back on their feet, and keep going.  If you simply quit when life gets tough, you won't make it far.  It is a life lesson, but one that can be learned the easy way or the hard way.  You can learn from mistakes the first time or you can continue to make the same ones over and over until you finally get it.  Either way, the message in my theme comes to play.

So the next time you're feeling down or that things can't get any worse, remember that Up From the Ashes Grow the Roses of Success, and everything will work out in the end.
