Practice recap:
Practice for Michael Metzger was uneventful, starting last amongst his fellow races, Michael moved past  Dave Lyon and Joe Milazzo, setting his sights on Eric Zwirlelin but the practice ended.  "The kart drove well, and I'm learning more and more as I go," said Michael.

Heat recap:
Heat number one started with Michael in third place, and by the third lap he was out front and never looked back crusing to the win.  "I got past everyone and just took off, the kart was on and I was on, and when we get that happening we're unstopable," said Michael from victory lane.

For the second heat, Michael started second and got around Eric Zwirlelin in the first corner and never looked back, winning by a few seconds.  "I got these two wins, hopefully we can get the hat trick with a feature win next," said Michael.

Feature recap:
Starting from first Michael lead the pack into turn one, and by the second lap Eric had the inside line and Michael let him go.  "He got to me in turn one, I saw him, gave him room and tried to get back into a rhythm to catch him down," Michael said.  This was not the case as trying to catch Eric lead to Joe getting position and passing Michael in turn one.  Now in third place, Michael set his sights on getting back the lost positions before the end of the race.  As the karts went into turn one, Michael put his nose under Joe's kart and the two touched.  Then again this happened going into turn four, each time Joe coming out on top.  For the remander of the race, Michael tried desperately to put his kart in position, but Joe kept cutting him off, and Michael got a warning flag for rough driving, Michael take was "I thought I was far enough under Joe for him to give me room out there.  He didn't, not even when we made contact and that's unfortunite."  After the race, officials quickly got to Michael to explain the call on the track, here was Michael's take on things:  "Yeah, that was born out of desperation, in my normal areas to pass I kept getting chopped by Joe so I tried some stupid moves just trying to get around him.  I don't disagree with the call, the thing that's got me frustrated and angery is Joe didn't give me an inch each time we made contact, he'd keep driving into the corner like normal putting me into the grass, then he's got the nerve to go 'nice race' at the end.  Yeah, good race for him, he got second.  And over all the frustration of being so dominate and I couldn't do anything out there, a few slips and I was relegated to third when I should be in victory lane."
