The story so far: An alien race called the Taelons are present on our planet, but their motives for forging an alliance with humanity are unclear. Their race is dying due to its inability to procreate and they seek a more physical bonding with humankind to assist them and to provide help in their war against a race called the Jaridians. Leading the fight against their plans for the human race is Liam Kincaid, a human/Kimera hybrid who is becoming more human the longer he spends on the planet. Head of the Resistance, he is supported by Renee Palmer, the business head of Doors International, and Augur, a computer genius. Former Resistance member Lili Marquette recently returned to Earth as a part-Jaridian and pregnant with a hybrid child which could mean the start of a new pact between the Taelons’ enemies and the Resistance. However, to safely give birth, Lili must receive energy from a Taelon, and after being captured and forced to take part, Da’an has now decided to willingly assist, even if it means his death…
