Rei's Grandpa

Rei went to live with her grandfather because her father was a traveling politician (something like that) and her mother died when she was young. Her grandfather owns Cherry Hill Temple and he trained Rei to take care of it. You'll often find Rei dressed in japanese robes, doing chores around the temple. I guess he thought that with Rei out with her friends all the time (little did he know Rei was saving the world, not just hanging out with her friends) so he hired Chad, a rock star (how is supposed to see anything with that mop of hair in his eyes) who needed a break. He trained Chad to take care of the temple. Let me tell you, this grandfather doesn't sit around, telling stories about the good ol' days. He was the one who taught Chad how to be Tarzan, swinging from trees. In fact, he did better than Chad did. (Chad fell and may have done permanent brain damage which would explain why he likes Rei. ^.^ Kidding, Rei's one of my favorite characters.) Rei's Grandfather likes to keep his temple in tip-top shape and doesn't mind handing out his advice left and right whether anyone needs it or not. He does tend to have a big mouth (he reminds me of some of my friends) and I can tell he annoys Rei sometimes. Especially when her friends come over, or some teenage girls pass through the temple. You know how Serena is, (DITZY) and how short those school uniform skirts are (not to mention the skirts in the sailor scout outfits) and well, whenever Serena trips and falls over, let's just say he has a little field day. But I guess he paid his price. Once,
the Negaverse turned him into this horrible creature that ran around terrorizing people (like Sailor Moon for one). In the end, he was returned to normal and sometimes I wonder why they even wanted to return him to normal. Honestly, I'm really glad I'm not Rei. So Rei's one of my very favorite Sailor Scouts. Doesn't mean her grandfather has to be my very favorite supporting character, right?
